Working Principle
The module accepts input signals from IEPE or passive sensors, provides configurable IEPE excitation current, and conditions the analog signals through precision amplification and filtering. A 24-bit delta-sigma ADC converts the analog signals to digital data at simultaneous sampling rates. The digital data is transferred to the DAQ system for time and frequency domain analysis.
Installation Requirements
- Install into any C Series slot in CompactDAQ or CompactRIO chassis
- Use 50 Ω coaxial BNC cables for sensor connection
- Ensure sensor cables are properly shielded and grounded
- Avoid routing sensor cables near high-power electrical equipment
- Allow sufficient clearance for cable bending
Usage Notes
- Enable IEPE excitation only when using IEPE-type sensors
- Set coupling mode according to measurement requirements
- Calibrate the measurement chain periodically with reference standards
- Avoid excessive input voltage beyond ±30 V overvoltage protection limit
- Use TEDS-enabled sensors for simplified system configuration
