Functional Features:
- Simultaneous sampling across all channels (multiplexer-free architecture)
- Programmable input range per channel group
- Onboard signal conditioning — no external amplifier needed for low-level signals
- Hardware-timed acquisition for precise synchronization
- NI-DAQmx driver support for all major programming environments
- Compact form factor for portable and benchtop use
Working Principle:
Each channel uses a delta-sigma ADC with a programmable gain amplifier (PGA). The multiplexer-free design means each channel has its own sample-and-hold circuit, enabling true simultaneous sampling. Data is transferred via USB 2.0 high-speed to the host PC, where NI-DAQmx handles buffer management and trigger logic.
Advantages:
- True simultaneous sampling — critical for phase-sensitive measurements
- BNC connectors — standard, reliable, no screw terminals
- USB-powered — no external power supply required
- 16-bit resolution — high accuracy for precision measurements
Applicable Industries:
Automotive testing, aerospace test & measurement, structural monitoring, environmental monitoring, research laboratories, educational institutions
Installation Requirements:
- Connect via USB 2.0 port (USB 3.0 port compatible, uses USB 2.0 speed)
- Use shielded BNC cables for noise-sensitive measurements
- Install NI-DAQmx driver (version 19.0 or later recommended)
- Ground the device chassis to measurement system ground
Usage Notes:
- Do not exceed ±11V on any input — this will damage the device
- Use differential mode for noisy environments (improves CMRR)
- Maximum cable length: 2 meters for high-accuracy measurements
- Update firmware via NI MAX (Measurement & Automation Explorer)
