Working Principle
The module receives digital output values from the host controller, converts the digital data to analog voltage signals using 16-bit string DACs, and conditions the signals through output amplifiers. The isolated output stages provide electrical separation between the DAQ system and field devices, protecting both the module and connected equipment from voltage transients.
Installation Requirements
- Install in any available C Series chassis slot
- Use 14–26 AWG copper wire for output connections
- Torque screw terminals to manufacturer-specified values
- Ensure load impedance does not exceed drive capability
- Ground the chassis properly for safety and noise performance
Usage Notes
- Do not connect loads drawing more than 1 mA per channel
- Avoid short-circuiting the output terminals
- Verify output polarity before connecting polarized devices
- Do not apply external voltage to the output terminals
- Perform periodic output calibration to maintain accuracy
