Working Principle
Receives motion program commands downloaded from upper-level MP series main controller via rack backplane bus. Internal DSP processor executes closed-loop position, speed and torque PID control algorithms with fixed 500 microsecond scan cycle. Output standardized ±10 V analog reference signals to servo drives through isolated analog channels; simultaneously collects differential encoder pulse feedback signals from servo motor encoders to form fully closed-loop position correction control. Supports linear interpolation, circular interpolation, electronic cam and master-slave axis synchronous following functions, digital I/O channels handle servo enable, fault reset and limit switch interlock signals in real time.
Application Scenarios
- Precision packaging machinery, vertical injection molding auxiliary axis positioning
- CNC automated cutting equipment, textile weaving looms multi-servo synchronization
- Lithium battery production winding, slitting high-speed precision motion platforms
- Automated assembly robots, electronic component pick-and-place equipment
Installation Requirements
- Install inside Yaskawa MP series standard vertical control rack, slide into dedicated motion module slot and lock with plastic buckle
- Servo motor encoder and control signal cables must be shielded differential twisted pair, cable length limited to maximum 20 meters
- Maintain 10 mm vertical gap between adjacent rack modules for heat sink air circulation
- Cabinet forced ventilation required for continuous full-load operation above 45 °C ambient temperature
- All signal cable shielding single-ended grounded to cabinet PE ground terminal
Operation & Maintenance Precautions
- Do not connect voltage exceeding ±12 V to analog speed/torque output terminals; overvoltage damages internal amplifier chips
- Motion parameters only modified via Yaskawa MotionWorks IEC programming software
- Avoid installation location near welding equipment, high-power inverters to prevent strong electromagnetic interference
- If servo fault LED triggers, cut off 24 V module power before checking wiring connection
- Conduct connector pin cleaning with anti-static cloth every 12 months for long-term continuous production line operation
