Product Short Description
Product Name: Woodward 9907-1200 MicroNet TMR / MicroNet Plus I/O Speed-Control Interface Module
Product Introduction: A high-integrity I/O and speed-sensing interface module for Woodward MicroNet TMR or MicroNet Plus turbine/engine controllers. Acts as the conditioned bridge between magnetic pickups, RTD/mA field signals and the central 19″ rack CPU.
Description
Technical Specifications:
- Form factor: 19″ rack / MicroNet Plus backplane module (3U class), IP20
- Speed inputs: 2 independent channels, magnetic pickup or TTL, up to 10 kHz (some listings 1 MHz for encoder option)
- Analog inputs: 8 channels configurable 4–20 mA / 0–10 V / RTD Pt100
- Analog outputs: 4 channels 4–20 mA, isolated 12-bit
- Control output: 4–20 mA to electro-hydraulic valve / actuator (500 Ω load)
- Communication: MicroNet backplane UBUS, 100Base-TX Ethernet, CANopen (Rev D)
- Redundancy: hot-swap, dual-module TMR support
- Supply: via backplane +5 V / ±15 V DC
- Operating temp: -20 °C to +70 °C
- Isolation: 500 V RMS field/logic
Functional Features: Dual cross-checked speed channels for overspeed validation; software-selectable I/O (no jumpers); deterministic < 1 ms scan; TMR voting ready; CE/UL/ATEX options.
Application Scenarios: Gas turbine speed/load control, steam turbine governing, reciprocating-engine generator sets, marine propulsion, oil & gas compressor trains.
Working Principle: Magnetic pickup frequency converted to rpm; analog inputs digitised and passed over backplane to MicroNet CPU; CPU executes speed/load algorithm and writes 4–20 mA outputs back through module to servo valves.
Installation Requirements: Seated in MicroNet Plus chassis with keyed slot; backplane grounding continuity; shielded twisted pair for magnetic pickup; separate field wiring compartment; DIN/rack earthing to plant ground.
Usage Notes: Never mix 115 V field wiring with RTD inputs; redundant module swap only with CPU in run-permit state; verify speed pickup gap and teeth count in Toolkit before start; do not expose field side to > 500 V.
