Functional Features
-
High reliability with redundant design and industrial-grade components.
-
Multi-channel isolation to improve noise immunity.
-
Fuse protection on each output point prevents overload.
-
Compact design suitable for space-constrained cabinets.
-
Per-point diagnostics for proactive maintenance.
Application Scenarios
Process control protection, machine safety, electrical safety interlocks, emergency shutdown systems, and distributed I/O expansion for Triconex SIS in chemical, oil & gas, power, and pharmaceutical industries.
Working Principle
The module interfaces between the Tricon controller backplane and field wiring. Analog versions buffer and convert signals with 16-bit resolution; digital versions drive or sense 24 V DC states. All channels are supervised by diagnostics and integrated into the TMR voting scheme.
Installation Requirements
-
Install in a compatible Triconex I/O slot or chassis.
-
For analog modules: wire −10 V to +10 V signals to the terminal block with proper shielding.
-
For digital output: connect 24 V DC load circuits; observe per-point fuse rating.
-
Ensure 24 V DC supply is stable and within specification.
Usage Precautions
-
Do not exceed voltage or current ratings; replace blown fuses with identical type.
-
Maintain ambient temperature within −40 °C to +70 °C.
-
Use only in indoor, IP20-protected environments.
-
Observe ESD handling procedures.
