Working Principle
Field contact states are sensed as 24 V DC sinking inputs. Each channel signal is processed by three independent input circuits; the Tricon controller votes on the three readings. Wire breaks, short circuits, and field power anomalies are detected through continuous diagnostics.
Installation Requirements

Mount in the Triconex Tricon safety system I/O rack.

Wire field devices (dry contacts or active 24 V DC sources) to the terminal block.

Group connections in sets of 8; each group shares a 1 A slow-blow fuse.

Verify external 24 V DC field supply is in the 19.2–30 V DC operating range.
Usage Precautions
