Core Functional Features
- Industrial wide-temperature design, stable reading in low-temperature workshop and high-temperature control room environments
- Enhanced anti-vibration mechanical structure, adapted to production line equipment vibration scenarios
- Full compatibility with legacy SCSI industrial control host systems, supporting old DCS operation station data reading
- Dust-proof front panel design to reduce optical head pollution in dusty industrial environments
- Manual emergency disc ejection hole for forced disc taking under power-off state
Working Principle
After receiving SCSI read commands from the industrial host computer, the internal laser optical head scans data tracks on CD discs, converting optical signal information into digital data streams and transmitting them to the host through the 50-pin SCSI parallel bus. The built-in shock absorption suspension structure offsets mechanical vibration interference during equipment operation to avoid read errors. Dual independent power circuits separate optical head drive power and main control logic power to reduce electrical noise interference on data transmission. When disc jamming occurs during power failure, the mechanical emergency ejection hole can push the disc tray open manually.
Structural & Material Characteristics
- Outer metal casing: Galvanized steel sheet anti-rust shell with shock absorption rubber pad inside
- Optical drive mechanical core: Reinforced plastic tray with anti-vibration spring suspension
- Interface connector: Gold-plated 50-pin SCSI socket with wear-resistant coating
Installation Requirements
- Installed into standard 5.25-inch drive bay of industrial control host cabinet, fixed with anti-vibration rubber gaskets
- Connect matched SCSI shielded cable and dual 12 V/5 V industrial power supply wiring harness
- Leave ventilation gap around the drive bay for heat dissipation of optical reading core
Application Scenarios
Legacy DCS control station program upgrade disc reading, medical CT/MRI equipment system data disc access, old semiconductor manufacturing equipment parameter configuration disc reading, industrial robot offline program backup disc reading.
Operation & Maintenance Precautions
- Use only industrial-grade sealed CD discs; civilian thin discs are prone to vibration jump reading errors
- Clean optical head lens with special optical lens cleaning disc every 3 months in dusty workshops
- Avoid power cycle during disc reading process, sudden power failure easily causes disc tray jamming
- Do not install in areas with strong mechanical vibration above 0.6 g to prevent permanent optical head damage
