Working Principle
The VME host accesses the module through mapped memory or programmed I/O. An onboard controller manages FIFO buffers and UART timing for each serial port, offloading frame assembly from the main CPU.

Insert into a free 6U VME slot with VME64/32 backplane support. Install the correct OS driver. Configure port mode and addresses via jumpers or software.
Usage Precautions
Match serial cable shielding and termination to RS485 topology rules. Do not exceed stated baud-vs-distance limits. Verify VME address space does not collide with other boards.
