Working Principle

SIGMATEK DNC115 acts as the master control core of the entire DIAS automation rack. After power-on, the module loads pre-stored PLC logic and motion control programs from onboard Flash memory. The dual-core processor independently processes two parallel tasks: one core executes ladder logic, safety interlock and field I/O data collection; the second core calculates real-time multi-axis motion trajectories and outputs closed-loop PID control commands to DIAS series axis modules via internal backplane bus. Real-time equipment operation data is uploaded to HMI and upper SCADA systems through Ethernet Modbus TCP communication port; field bus signals interact with distributed DIAS I/O modules via RS485 DIAS bus. The hardware watchdog circuit continuously monitors program operation status and triggers automatic soft reset when communication deadlock or program crash occurs. Offline program debugging and parameter backup are realized via front panel USB port without network connection.

Advantage Highlights

  1. Integrated PLC logic and multi-axis motion control in single narrow slot module to reduce rack slot occupation quantity
  2. Ultra-fast 0.25 ms minimum logic cycle supports high-speed automated production line synchronous control
  3. Multi-channel multi-protocol communication interfaces eliminate external gateway hardware for upper system connection
  4. Hot-swap maintenance design allows module replacement without shutting down the entire automation rack
  5. Wide -20 °C ~ +60 °C operating temperature adapts to unheated industrial workshop control cabinets
  6. Full mechanical and electrical compatibility with all SIGMATEK DIAS series I/O, draw-wire sensor and axis control modules

Applicable Industries

Injection molding machinery, woodworking CNC equipment, packaging automation production lines, hydraulic lifting equipment, textile printing machinery, metal stamping automation, food processing automated assembly lines

Installation Requirements

  1. Insert DNC115 into any vacant standard slot of SIGMATEK DIAS DIN rail rack; lock dual side latches tightly to fix module position
  2. Maintain minimum 10 mm vertical ventilation gap between DNC115 and adjacent rack modules for heat dissipation
  3. Separate Ethernet and DIAS bus communication cables from high-power inverter and motor power wiring with minimum 20 cm clearance
  4. Implement single-point PE grounding of all shielded communication cables at cabinet main PE bar; grounding resistance ≤ 4 Ω
  5. Verify stable 24 VDC backplane power supply before executing hot-swap replacement of the module
  6. Control cabinet internal continuous operating temperature below 55 °C during full-load multi-axis operation

Operation & Maintenance Precautions

  1. ESD anti-static wrist strap mandatory during module disassembly, program download and wiring modification
  2. Complete full backup of PLC logic and motion parameter files before module replacement to avoid reconfiguration workload
  3. Conduct semi-annual inspection of Ethernet and USB port contacts for dust and oxide accumulation
  4. Do not install DNC115 adjacent to high-frequency welding equipment and large AC drive inverters
  5. Store spare DNC115 modules in sealed anti-static packaging with silica gel desiccant packs
  6. Cut off rack backplane 24 VDC power supply before removing the module from DIAS rack slot
