Product Short Description
Product Name: Parker AR-08AE-14293 — Pneumatic Filter/Regulator, AR Series, 3/8″ Port
Product Overview: The Parker AR-08AE-14293 is a modular filter/regulator from the AR series with 3/8″ (G 3/8″) port size, designed for higher-flow pneumatic applications. The “08” denotes 3/8″ port, “AE” is the configuration code, and 14293 is the variant identifier.

Functional Features:
- Two-stage filtration: cyclonic pre-separator + sintered element
- Adjustable output pressure via top-mounted knob
- Transparent bowl with visible water level indicator
- Modular stackable design compatible with AF and AL series
- Pressure gauge port available on select variants
Structural Characteristics:
- Body: Die-cast zinc alloy, nickel-plated
- Filter element: Sintered stainless steel (316L)
- Seal: NBR
- Knob: Polypropylene, color-coded
Working Principle: Identical to the AR-04AE-13574 but scaled for higher flow. Air enters through the cyclonic separator where large particles and water droplets are removed by centrifugal action. The air then passes through the sintered stainless steel filter element (5 μm rating). The regulator section uses a poppet valve and adjustable spring to maintain set downstream pressure. The larger 3/8″ port and higher Cv value allow greater flow capacity (up to 1200 L/min at 6 bar inlet).
Advantages:
- 3× the flow capacity of the 1/4″ version
- Same modular compatibility — mixed sizes can be stacked
- Stainless steel filter element for corrosive environments
- Larger bowl holds more condensate — less frequent draining
Applicable Industries: Medium-scale manufacturing, plastic injection molding, printing presses, woodworking, metal fabrication, automation lines
Installation Requirements:
- Vertical mounting (bowl down) mandatory
- Upstream straight pipe: minimum 5 pipe diameters
- Downstream straight pipe: minimum 3 pipe diameters
- Mount on vibration-isolated bracket if near compressors
Usage Precautions:
- Drain bowl at least once per shift in humid conditions
- Max inlet pressure: 16 bar — install pressure relief valve upstream if system exceeds this
- Filter element replacement interval: 6–12 months depending on air quality
- Do not use Teflon tape on NPT threads — use Parker Teflon thread sealant or leave threads bare
