Functional Features:
-
Modular Terminal Concept – Each I/O module requires a dedicated terminal; snap‑on design simplifies maintenance.
-
Per‑Channel Fusing – Protects wiring and module from overcurrent.
-
Mechanical Keying – Prevents insertion of wrong I/O module type.
-
Cold‑Junction Compensation – Not included (only used with thermocouple terminals).
-
Non‑Incendive Wiring – Suitable for Zone 2 / Div 2 hazardous locations.
Application Scenarios: Process automation in oil & gas, chemical, power, and manufacturing plants using PAC8000 I/O.
Working Principle: Provides a physical termination point; field wires are securely clamped, fused, and routed to the I/O module via a 22‑pin multipin interface.
Installation Requirements: Mount carrier on 35 mm DIN rail inside a suitable enclosure; insert terminal until it snaps; attach I/O module on top; verify mechanical key alignment.
Usage Notes: Replace fuse only with same rating; ensure loop disconnect is opened before servicing; do not exceed 250 V AC or 5 A per point.
