Product Short Description
Product Name: P-I Servoamplifier (Proportional-Integral Servo Amplifier)
Overview: The MOOG G122-829-001 is an analog closed-loop servoamplifier designed to drive electrohydraulic servovalves. It is a functional replacement for the G122-824-002 with improved high-gain performance and a different pin-out.
Description
Technical Specifications:
- Control Mode: P, I, or P & I (switch selectable)
- Supply Voltage: +24 V DC
- Inputs: Three input signals — Input 1 (scalable to ±95 V), Input 2 (4–20 mA or 0 to ±10 V), Input 3 (±10 V direct to ±100% valve drive)
- Feedback Input: Differential, 4–20 mA or ±10 V switch selectable
- Proportional Gain: Adjustable 1 to 20
- Integral Gain: Adjustable 1 to 45 per second
- Output: Switch selectable voltage (±10 V) or current (±5 to ±100 mA)
- Transducer Excitation: +10 V DC @ 10 mA max
- Dither: Fixed 200 Hz
- Operating Temperature: -40 to +60 °C (storage); functional range per Moog specification
Key Features:
- User-friendly front panel with LEDs, test points, and trim pots
- Internal selector switches for flexible configuration
- “In position” output for PLC feedback (±10% of valve drive, max 20 mA / 40 V)
- Enable input via relay (+24 V @ 8 mA, 17–32 V)
- Compact DIN rail mounting enclosure
- CE marked
Application Scenarios: Closed-loop hydraulic control systems, servovalve driving in industrial automation, materials testing, and aerospace-grade electrohydraulic motion control.
Working Principle: The amplifier sums three input signals to generate an error signal, amplifies it proportionally, integrates it, and outputs the combined signal as either a voltage or current to drive a servovalve.
Installation & Notes:
- Mount on standard DIN rail
- Accept wire sizes from 0.2 mm² to 2.5 mm² (24 AWG to 12 AWG)
- Requires +24 V supply with a 250 mA T slow-blow fuse
- Output to valve: Pin 14, maximum 300 mA
- Ensure correct pin-out when replacing G122-824-002 (pin configuration differs)
