Technical Specifications​

Sixteen relay output channels are provided. Standard configuration uses Form A normally-open contacts with 2 A maximum resistive load per channel; voltage rating is up to 250 V AC and 125 V DC for the standard Form A variant. Certain IOP/order variants provide SPDT contacts or different current ratings, so the exact part number must be verified. Dielectric isolation between field and logic is 1500 V AC. Pick and drop response is within 10 ms under specified load. Backplane logic supply is 24 V DC. Front-panel LEDs show individual channel state. Mounting is in maxPAC/I/O racks or compatible S-series carriers with the appropriate connection pole such as CPO351. Operating temperature is 0 °C to +55 °C for standard maxPAC variants and up to -20 °C to +60 °C on selected industrial variants. Protection rating is IP20.

Functional Features​

Galvanic relay isolation, high channel density, per-channel LED, fail-open or hold-last-state configuration, alarm and interlock switching, and reduced external interposing-relay count.

Applications​

Motor-starter coil control, solenoid valves for pneumatic and hydraulic systems, audible/visual alarm annunciation, conveyor emergency-stop output, damper and auxiliary equipment switching, and interposing to higher-power switchgear.

Construction And Materials​

I/O card with 16 electromechanical relays, driver and isolation stage, status LEDs, backplane logic connector and field wiring through CPO351 or equivalent terminal block.

Working Principle​

The DPU sends an output command over the backplane. The module energizes the selected relay coil through an isolated driver; the relay contact closes or opens the field circuit according to the configured fail-safe state.

Installation Requirements​

Mount in the compatible Metso DNA/maxDNA rack and connect field wires to CPO351. Size external fusing and wiring for the relay contact rating.
