Working Principle

As rack master controller, D201832 sends data collection instructions to all slave I/O modules via ACN backplane bus, receives real-time process data and executes user-programmed control logic algorithms. Calculated control setpoints transmit to analog output modules to drive field actuators; simultaneously uploads process data to upper DCS system via Ethernet/RS485 ports. Hardware watchdog circuits continuously monitor program operation status and trigger automatic module soft reset when program deadlock occurs.

Installation Requirements

  1. Install exclusively in dedicated master slot of Metso ACN CS 8/16-slot standard rack
  2. Maintain 10 mm vertical ventilation gap between adjacent modules for heat dissipation

  4. Cabinet PE grounding resistance ≤ 4 Ω to suppress communication interference
  5. Stabilize rack backplane 24 VDC power before hot-swapping master module
