Product Short Description
Manufacturer: Krones AG (Germany)
Product Overview:
The BSAB3000 is a stretch blow molding machine from Krones’ B Series line, designed for high-speed production of PET containers. The suffix 480T indicates a 480-ton clamping force, and 300C refers to the specific cavity/mold configuration (typically 300 ml to 1 liter range).

Functional Features:
- Servo-driven stretching for precise wall thickness distribution
- Rotary IR preform heater for uniform preform temperature
- Automatic preform loading via vibratory bowl feeder or rotary magazine
- In-mold labeling (IML) ready — optional IML station
- Remote diagnostics via Krones ServiceNet
- Energy recovery system for blow air (optional)
Working Principle:
Preforms (injection-molded PET test tubes) are heated in an IR oven to approximately 110°C. A stretch rod inserts into the preform, and high-pressure air (up to 40 bar) inflates the soft PET against the water-cooled mold cavity, stretching it biaxially into the final bottle shape. The mold opens, and the finished bottle is ejected.
Advantages:
- High output — up to 2,200 bottles/hour per machine
- Consistent wall thickness via servo stretch control
- Low energy consumption per bottle due to efficient IR heating
- Modular design — easy to upgrade or reconfigure
Applicable Industries:
Beverage (water, juice, carbonated drinks), edible oil, detergent, pharmaceutical, cosmetics
Installation Requirements:
- Reinforced concrete floor capable of supporting 25,000+ kg
- Compressed air system: 6–8 bar, dry, oil-free, minimum 500 L/min
- Chilled water system: 15°C, 4 bar
- Electrical supply: 400V 3-phase, 50/60 Hz, minimum 200 kVA
- Ceiling height: minimum 5 meters for preform hoist
Usage Notes:
- Perform weekly mold inspection and cleaning
- Maintain IR oven lamp alignment for uniform heating
- Monitor blow air dew point — moisture causes bottle haze
- Change stretch rod seals every 6 months (preventive)
