- Complete fault diagnosis indicators: Independent LED status indicators for each port link/activity, power supply fault, fan operation, redundant power supply status, dedicated test button for rapid network fault troubleshooting
8.5 Working Principle
Adopts store-and-forward gigabit packet switching architecture: After Ethernet data packets enter the RJ45 port, the switch chip first fully receives and caches the complete data packet into the internal packet buffer, verifies packet CRC checksum to filter damaged error packets, queries the local MAC address table to match target port forwarding rules, then forwards intact valid packets to the corresponding destination port through the high-speed backplane bus, realizing isolated independent gigabit data transmission between different network ports without broadcast data interference across ports.
8.6 Material Composition & Structural Characteristics
- Chassis Shell: Cold-rolled steel metal rack mount chassis, black anti-static matte paint coating, anti-electromagnetic interference shielding performance
- Port Interface Panel: High-strength plastic front panel with integrated LED status indicator light circuit board, metal RJ45 port shielding shells
- Internal Circuit Board: Multi-layer high-temperature resistant FR4 gigabit switching mainboard, industrial grade stable electronic components
- Cooling System: Built-in silent temperature-controlled axial cooling fans with fan fault alarm monitoring circuit
- Mounting Accessories: Complete set of 19-inch rack mounting brackets, fixed screws, rubber anti-slip foot pads for desktop temporary placement
8.7 Application Scenarios
- Medium & large enterprise office building wiring closet core access layer network switching equipment
- Industrial automation DCS distributed control system factory workshop central control room gigabit communication switch, connecting PLC, vibration monitoring modules, industrial touch screens and industrial computers
- Power plant, petrochemical plant, metallurgical factory industrial control dedicated isolated safety network switch
- Campus education network classroom building access layer gigabit switching equipment
- Hospital medical equipment dedicated local area network centralized data switching platform
8.8 Installation Requirements
- Install the switch into standard 19-inch 1U rack cabinet via matching metal mounting brackets; fix all mounting screws tightly to prevent equipment vibration loosening during long-term operation
- Ensure unobstructed ventilation space at the left, right and rear sides of the switch chassis; reserve minimum 10cm ventilation gap between adjacent rack equipment to avoid heat accumulation overheating
- Connect standard three-core grounded AC power supply cable to the built-in power supply socket; reliable chassis grounding is mandatory to eliminate static electricity and electromagnetic interference
- Select matched CAT5e or CAT6 shielded gigabit twisted-pair copper cables for RJ45 port connection; for long-distance inter-device communication, install compatible SFP fiber mini-GBIC transceivers into dual-personality uplink ports with single-mode/multi-mode fiber optical cables
- Complete basic switch IP address, VLAN division, user authentication and stack configuration via serial console cable before connecting to the formal production network
8.9 Usage Precautions
- Strictly prohibit blocking the chassis cooling fan air intake and exhaust vents; poor heat dissipation will cause the switch chip to overheat, leading to network packet loss, port drop-off and permanent hardware burnout
- Do not install the switch in environments with high humidity condensed water, flammable dust, corrosive chemical gas and direct sunlight long-term exposure
- Use only original matching external redundant power supply modules if redundant backup power is required; non-original power supplies will cause unstable voltage output and equipment damage
- Regularly inspect cooling fan operation status via front panel fan fault LED indicator; replace faulty cooling fans promptly to avoid equipment overheating shutdown
- Configure reasonable VLAN isolation for industrial control network deployment; strictly separate industrial control equipment communication ports and office computer network ports to prevent office network virus broadcast packets from interfering with industrial control safe operation
