Description
Product Brief Introduction
FC-FANWR-24R is a dedicated redundant cooling fan assembly exclusively matched with Honeywell Safety Manager safety instrument system (SIS) control cabinets. It provides forced convection heat dissipation for SIS rack CPU, power supply and safety I/O modules, with dual-fan redundant design to guarantee uninterrupted cooling for safety-critical control hardware.

Material Composition
- Fan Frame & Mount Bracket: Stainless steel SUS304 stamping forming
- Fan Blade: High-strength aluminum alloy casting
- DC Motor Housing: Die-cast aluminum with anti-rust passivation treatment
- Wiring Terminal: Flame-retardant PA66 plastic shell with tin-plated copper contact
Structural Features
- Integrated dual-fan parallel redundant layout, single fan failure does not interrupt overall heat dissipation
- Standard snap-in mounting structure matching Safety Manager cabinet fan slot
- Built-in airflow baffle to guide uniform vertical airflow through module heat sink area
- Rear side signal wiring terminal block with locking wire clip
Working Principle
- After cabinet 24VDC power supply input, dual DC fans start synchronous rotation
- Forced cold air flows upward through cabinet internal module gaps to take away component heat
- Hall speed sensor inside each fan real-time monitors rotation speed
- When fan speed drops below minimum threshold, corresponding LED extinguishes and potential-free fault contact closes to send alarm signal to SIS system
- Power-on self-test runs for 15s during cabinet startup, contact closed temporarily for system detection
Function Features
- 1+1 redundant fan cooling, zero cooling interruption upon single fan breakdown
- Real-time fan rotation speed monitoring and hardware fault alarm output
- Visual LED running status indication for rapid on-site inspection
- Uniform airflow baffle design eliminates local overheating dead zone inside cabinet
- Low-noise motor winding design for control room long-term unattended operation
Advantage Highlights
- Strict SIL safety grade matching Honeywell Safety Manager SIS platform, no compatibility modification required
- Stainless steel full metal structure resistant to industrial dust, moisture and slight chemical corrosion
- Passive dry contact fault signal output compatible with all SIS digital input modules
- Direct snap-in installation without additional fixing accessories, replacement completed within 3 minutes
- Wide temperature range supports outdoor explosion-proof cabinet auxiliary cooling
Applicable Industries
Petrochemical SIS safety interlock system, refinery ESD emergency shutdown cabinet, chemical hazardous material workshop safety control room, offshore platform safety instrument cabinet
Installation Requirements
- Install in dedicated fan slot at bottom of Honeywell Safety Manager standard cabinet, fully snap into fixed guide rail
- Air outlet direction must align vertically upward to form full cabinet convection airflow
- 24VDC power wiring and fault signal wiring separated into two independent terminal groups, no mixed wiring
- Maintain 50mm clearance between fan air inlet and cabinet bottom dust filter screen
- Cabinet external air filter replaced every 3 months to prevent fan blade dust blockage
Usage Precautions
- Forbid operation without dust filter screen, dust accumulation will cause fan bearing stuck and permanent damage
- Do not reverse positive/negative polarity of 24VDC power supply input, reverse connection burns drive circuit
- When single fan fails, replace the whole FC-FANWR-24R assembly within 24 hours to avoid overheating risk
- Clean fan blade dust with compressed air (0.3MPa pressure maximum) every 6 months
- Ambient temperature exceeding +60℃ will trigger automatic fan speed reduction protection
