Product Short Description
Product Name
GE Fanuc Genius I/O analog current input block, 6-channel 4 to 20 mA source/sink measurement module.
Product Introduction
IC660BBA026 acquires six 4 to 20 mA analog signals for Genius networks. It is used for flow, pressure, level, and current-loop transmitter monitoring where high-resolution current measurement and built-in diagnostics are required.

Performance Parameters
1 µA resolution across 4 to 20 mA provides fine signal granularity.
0.1% full-scale accuracy supports closed-loop control.
Open-wire detection identifies broken transmitter or loop discontinuity.
Materials And Construction
Molded industrial Genius enclosure.
Analog input front end with precision shunt, ADC, and isolation barriers.
Screw terminal block for loop and power wiring.
LED indicators for block health and I/O enable.
Working Principle
Each input converts the 4 to 20 mA loop current into a proportional voltage through a precision resistor. An ADC digitizes the value, the module applies calibration and filtering, and the Genius interface transmits normalized engineering data. Diagnostic routines compare measured current with configured underrange, overrange, and alarm limits.
Installation Requirements
Mount in a Genius-compatible enclosure with proper bus termination.
Wire each transmitter as active current source within supported loop impedance.
Supply 18 to 56 VDC block power.
Set conversion time, range, and alarms in the bus configuration.
Separate analog shields from high-voltage conductors.
Usage Precautions
Confirm transmitter loop resistance does not exceed the module impedance limit.
Do not apply voltage sources directly to current inputs.
Configure underrange/overrange alarms before process startup.
Replace with identical IC660BBA026 firmware/configuration to preserve scaling.
Inspect terminals regularly to prevent loose current-loop wiring.
