When the module is powered on by the host chassis backplane, the internal optical transceivers convert incoming optical signals from fiber links into electrical signals, and convert outgoing electrical signals back into optical signals for long-distance transmission. The dedicated switching chip completes data frame receiving, filtering, forwarding and address learning according to MAC address table. It executes configured network policies such as VLAN division and link aggregation during data transmission. The module continuously monitors the operating status of each port and internal circuit, and feeds back abnormal conditions through front panel LEDs. All data interaction and power supply are realized through the rear backplane interface of the module.

- Only install into standard Enterasys A4H series modular switch chassis.
- The host chassis must be fixed on a standard 19-inch industrial equipment rack firmly.
- Insert the module horizontally into the target slot until the rear connector is fully connected with the chassis backplane, and lock the side buckles tightly.
- Maintain unobstructed ventilation space around the chassis and module; keep a minimum clearance of 40 mm at air inlet and outlet.
- Separate optical fiber cables from power cables during wiring to avoid signal interference.
- Ensure the grounding terminal of the entire equipment is reliably connected to the industrial grounding system.
