Working Principle
Incoming modulated light signal from multi-mode fiber cable strikes the internal PIN photodiode optical receiver, converting variable light intensity into proportional analog electrical signal. Onboard signal conditioning circuitry filters optical transmission noise, reconstructs original composite video waveform, and outputs standardized 75 Ω analog video signal via BNC connector. Integrated signal detection circuit monitors received optical power level and activates fault indicator LED if fiber link signal drops below minimum threshold value.
Advantage Highlights
- Extended wide temperature range supporting outdoor unheated control cabinet deployment
- Low differential gain and phase distortion delivering broadcast-grade analog video fidelity
- Galvanic full electrical isolation between camera field side and control room eliminating ground loop interference
- Immunity to electromagnetic interference from power lines, VFD drives and radio frequency equipment
- Plug-and-play pairing with FVT110M transmitter without manual signal calibration
Applicable Industries
Industrial site CCTV surveillance, highway traffic monitoring systems, port container yard video networks, power substation security camera transmission, manufacturing factory process monitoring cameras, railway station analog video infrastructure
Installation Requirements
- Mount unit horizontally on standard 35 mm DIN rail within closed electrical cabinet
- Torque DC power terminal block screws to 0.8 N·m; avoid over-tightening terminal hardware
- Clean ST fiber connector end face with fiber lint-free wipe before cable insertion
- Maintain minimum 50 mm clearance above chassis for passive heat dissipation
- Terminate BNC video output cable with properly crimped 75 Ω coaxial connector
Usage Precautions
- Do not connect single-mode fiber cables to ST multi-mode optical port; optical signal loss will break video transmission
- Prevent physical scratch damage to PIN photodiode window inside optical port
- Supply regulated 12 V DC power only; unfiltered AC-DC unregulated adapters introduce video noise
- Replace optical receiver unit immediately if link fault LED remains illuminated with verified functional fiber cable
