Product Introduction
The 3500/62-04-00 is a six-channel process variable monitor module from Bently Nevada’s 3500 series. It is designed to continuously monitor critical industrial process parameters such as pressure, flow, temperature, and liquid level by interfacing standard 4-20 mA or proportional voltage transmitters to the 3500 rack alarm and logic network. The “-04” suffix defines an isolated 4-20 mA I/O module with external terminations.

Structural Characteristics

Working Principle
Each channel conditions the incoming 4-20 mA or voltage signal, converts it via 24-bit ADC, scales it to engineering units in software, and compares the result against Alert/Danger setpoints. Exceedance drives relay logic through the 3500 rack; scaled values are also echoed to analog recorder outputs for DCS/PLC trending.
Installation Requirements
Install in any available monitor slot of a powered 3500 rack. Connect transmitter loops to the external I/O termination block. Configure channels, ranges, and alarms with Bently Nevada 3500 Configuration Software before placing in service.
Usage Precautions
Do not mix I/O module types without reconfiguring the rack. Verify lithium backup and external termination wiring polarity before energizing. Avoid removing the module under load unless the rack supports verified hot-swap. Re-check alarm setpoints after any firmware or configuration download.
