Working Principle
- Communicate with Bachmann wind turbine main PLC controller via CANbus and Ethernet to acquire real-time unit operation parameters, vibration, wind speed, generator power and fault signals
- Touch screen provides local operator human-machine interface for unit startup/shutdown, parameter adjustment, real-time data browsing and fault history query
- CPU stores all operation data and fault records to 8GB CFast storage with RTC accurate time stamp
- Upload wind farm operation data to remote central monitoring room through Ethernet Modbus TCP or OPC UA protocol
- Hardware watchdog continuously monitors system operating state; automatically restart panel PC when system program crash occurs
Installation Requirements
- Embedded installation inside wind turbine tower control cabinet, front panel fully sealed to prevent dust and moisture intrusion
- Cabinet must install heating and dehumidification equipment to avoid condensation in low-temperature winter environment
- Route communication cables with shielding, single-point grounding at cabinet earth bar
- Maintain ventilation gap behind panel heat sink, do not block heat dissipation fins
- Equip 24VDC power input with surge protection against lightning induced transient voltage in wind farm
Application Scenarios
- On-site human-machine control panel for onshore and offshore wind turbine generator units
- Wind farm local cabinet data recording and fault storage terminal
- Distributed industrial automation local monitoring HMI in hydropower and thermal power plants
- Offshore platform auxiliary equipment operation monitoring touch panel PC
Usage & Maintenance Notes
- Do not disassemble front panel sealing frame at will, dust and salt mist entering will damage touch screen and internal circuits
- Replace internal RTC backup lithium battery every 3 years to avoid historical data timestamp loss
- Clean touch screen surface with soft microfiber cloth; do not use corrosive chemical cleaning agents
- Regularly export historical fault data to USB storage disk for periodic data backup
- Avoid installing near converter cabinets which generate strong electromagnetic interference; add signal isolation module if communication error occurs
