Functional Features
Motor direct start/stop control; circuit overcurrent protection; phase loss protection; remote control and local manual control.
Performance Parameters
- Rated Control Current: Matched with 509 series standard parameters
- Contact Life: Long electrical service life for frequent switching
- Arc Extinguishing Performance: Efficient arc extinguishing for contact switching
Material Composition
Housing: Flame-retardant reinforced plastic; Main contact: Silver tungsten alloy; Electromagnetic coil: High temperature resistant enameled wire; Bracket: Engineering plastic + metal parts.
Structural Characteristics
Integrated electromagnetic actuation structure; built-in thermal overload protection unit; combined main circuit and control circuit; standard wall/cabinet installation.
Working Principle
After the control circuit is powered on, the electromagnetic coil acts to pull in the main contact, switch on the main power circuit to start the motor; cut off the control power, the contact resets to cut off the motor power; the built-in protection unit acts when the motor is faulty.
Advantage Highlights
Stable electromagnetic actuation; complete protection functions; compact structure; excellent arc extinguishing ability; compatible with A-B whole set of automation products.
Applicable Industries
Factory automation, conveying equipment, fan and pump control, light and heavy industrial motor control systems.
Model Series
Allen-Bradley 509 Series Magnetic Motor Starters
Installation Requirements
- Fix on indoor electrical cabinet or wall with standard fasteners;
- Distinguish main circuit and control circuit wiring strictly;
- Implement reliable grounding protection;
- Reserve heat dissipation space around the starter.
Usage Notes
- Do not exceed the matched motor power range;
- Regularly check contact ablation and coil temperature rise;
- Keep the internal cavity clean and dust-free;
- Stop operation immediately if abnormal noise or heating occurs.
