ABB RED615 is a phase-segregated, two-end numerical line differential protection and control intelligent electronic device (IED) belonging to ABB’s Relion® 615 series. It delivers comprehensive protection, control, measurement, and supervision functions for overhead lines and cable feeders in utility and industrial power distribution systems. Engineered for absolute selectivity and high-speed operation, the relay forms a complete unit protection scheme when paired with another RED615 IED across a communication link. It supports radial, looped, and meshed network topologies, including systems with distributed generation or in-zone transformers.
