Product Overview: The ABB AI723F is a high-density analog input module in the S700 I/O series. It offers 16 independently configurable channels that can be set to voltage input (0…10 V or –10…+10 V), current input (0…20 mA or 4…20 mA), or temperature measurement via platinum/nickel RTD (Pt100, Pt1000, Ni1000) in 2-wire or 3-wire configuration. The module can also function as digital inputs. It is used either as direct I/O for AC 700F and AC 900F Freelance controllers, or as PROFIBUS remote I/O. Each channel is electrically isolated from the module’s internal electronics.

Installation Requirements:

Install the module on the S700 I/O bus or PROFIBUS remote I/O station

Connect the external 24 V DC process voltage to terminals 1.8–4.8 (UP) and 1.9–4.9 (ZP)

Mount horizontally for full-rated operation; if vertical mounting is unavoidable, derate accordingly

Usage Notes:
