  • Power quality and harmonic analysis
  • Battery charge/discharge current measurement
  • Industrial power distribution system monitoring

Structural Characteristics

  • Rugged metal housing for industrial environments
  • Front-facing screw terminals for easy field wiring
  • Compact form factor for high-density system integration
  • Conformal coating option for harsh environment protection
  • LED status indicators for module operation

Working Principle

The module receives current input signals through the front terminals, conditions the signals via precision signal conditioning circuitry, and converts the analog current signals to digital data using a 24-bit delta-sigma ADC. The digital data is transmitted to the DAQ chassis backplane for processing by the host controller.

Installation Requirements

  • Install into any available C Series slot in CompactDAQ or CompactRIO chassis
  • Torque screw terminals to 0.22–0.25 N·m with 14–30 AWG copper wire
  • Ensure proper conductor sizing for the measured current level
  • Allow sufficient clearance for cable routing
  • Ground the chassis properly for safety and noise immunity

Usage Notes

  • Do not apply input current exceeding the overcurrent protection rating
  • Use twisted-pair shielded wiring for low-noise measurement
  • Verify channel configuration in software before starting acquisition
  • Avoid routing signal cables near high-voltage power lines
  • Perform periodic calibration to maintain measurement accuracy
