Product Short Description
Product Overview
RMP200-8 is an 8-channel marine digital output remote I/O module for Kongsberg RBUS ship automation network, receiving control commands from the main automation controller and output switch signals to marine valves, pumps, alarm beacons and indicator lights.
Description
Technical Specifications
- Output Channel Quantity: 8 independent digital output channels
- Output Rating: 24VDC passive transistor output, max 1A load per channel
- Communication Bus: Kongsberg RBUS redundant differential bus
- Power Supply: 24VDC shipboard DC power
- Operating Temperature: -20℃ ~ +70℃

- Environmental Resistance: Salt fog corrosion resistance, wide humidity tolerance 5%–95% RH
- Mounting: DIN rail mounting, IP20 protection for cabinet installation
Functional Features
- 8-channel isolated digital switch output, each channel independent over-current and short-circuit protection
- Real-time channel status feedback to main controller via RBUS bus; monitor load open-circuit or short-circuit fault
- Individual LED status indicator for each output channel: output energized, channel fault alarm
- Built-in self-test (BIST) function during power-on startup, automatically detect internal circuit and channel hardware faults
- Compatible with all Kongsberg K-Chief, K-Pos marine automation master controllers
Working Principle
The module communicates with the ship automation master controller via RBUS redundant bus, receiving digital switch control commands (ON/OFF) for each output channel. Internal isolated transistor drive circuits switch 24VDC load power to field marine actuators. Each channel’s output current and load impedance are continuously sampled; abnormal current (short/open circuit) generates fault signals uploaded back to the main controller through RBUS bus for alarm display on ship operation workstation.
Structure & Material
- Outer Shell: Black impact-resistant polycarbonate plastic, marine anti-salt fog surface treatment
- Internal PCB: Double-sided isolated printed circuit board, independent isolation optocoupler for every output channel
- Terminals: Multi-row screw terminal blocks for field load wiring and RBUS bus communication wiring
- Physical Weight: 1.1kg
Installation Requirements
- Mount on standard 35mm DIN rail inside marine dehumidified electrical cabinet
- Field load wiring (valve, pump, alarm light) must use marine-grade shielded control cables
- Keep 25mm vertical gap between adjacent I/O modules for heat dissipation
- All cable shielding grounded to cabinet dedicated marine grounding bar
Application Scenarios
- Ship ballast water tank valve opening/closing control
- Bilge pump, fire pump automatic start-stop control
- Marine engine room alarm light, audible siren indicator output
- Offshore platform pipeline cut-off valve remote switch control
- Vessel ventilation fan, air damper actuator control
Operation & Maintenance Notes
- Monthly check each output channel LED status, record fault channel numbers for scheduled maintenance
- Tighten all field wiring terminal screws every six months to eliminate loose contacts caused by ship hull vibration
- Do not connect load current exceeding 1A per channel; over-current will trigger channel automatic cut-off protection
- Before disassembling module field wiring, cut off 24VDC module power supply to avoid accidental actuator misoperation
