The LR-W500C is KEYENCE flagship multi-spectrum reflective color & mark detection sensor, engineered for high-stability color discrimination, contrast mark reading, and object presence detection in harsh automated production lines. It integrates RGB full-spectrum light emission, digital signal processing, IO-Link industrial communication, and adaptive anti-interference algorithms to eliminate detection errors caused by ambient light, surface gloss, or color fading. Detection range covers 30mm to 500mm long-distance reflective sensing.

Working Principle

  1. RGB tri-color LED emits full-spectrum light onto target surface; light reflects back into internal high-precision color receiver.

  3. Compares real-time chromatic data with pre-taught reference color threshold to output switch signal or transmit digital data via IO-Link.
  4. Adaptive frequency modulation automatically suppresses interference from factory fluorescent / LED flickering light sources.

Installation Requirements

  1. Mount via standard M3 screw holes on housing flanges, tightening torque limited to 0.5 Nm to avoid housing deformation
