Product Short Description

Technical Specifications

  • Length and Structural Parameters
    • Cable Length: The fixed length is 50 feet (equivalent to approximately 15.24 meters), which meets the long – distance wiring needs between the Tricon chassis and separate signal marshaling enclosures in industrial sites.
    • Conductor Configuration: It is equipped with 50 stranded, stripped and tinned leads. Each lead uses 22 – gauge wire, which balances conductivity and flexibility. Each lead is individually labeled with the corresponding connector pin number for easy wiring and maintenance operations.
    • Connector Details: One end of the cable is fitted with a 56 – pin female connector, which is specially designed to connect to the backplane of the Tricon chassis, ensuring a tight and stable connection with the chassis.

Description

    • Material and Protection Parameters
      • Outer Covering: The cable uses a PVC outer covering, which has good wear resistance, corrosion resistance and insulation performance, and can resist common physical and chemical damages in industrial environments.
      • Insulation Performance: The PVC material and the optimized conductor layout ensure excellent insulation between leads. This prevents signal interference caused by short circuits or leakage between different leads and guarantees the purity of transmitted signals.
    • Applicable Electrical Matching Parameters
      • Compatible Signal Type: It is only certified for use with digital input and digital output signals. It is not suitable for analog signals such as 4 – 20mA or 1 – 5 volt signals and cannot be used with analog I/O modules.
      • Matching Equipment: It is fully compatible with various digital I/O modules of the Tricon series, including 32 – point digital input modules, 64 – point digital input modules, 16 – point digital output modules and 32 – point relay output modules.
  • Functional Features
    • Cost – Effective Signal Marshaling Solution: It replaces external termination panels to complete the marshaling of field digital signals. This not only reduces the procurement cost of equipment but also simplifies the on – site wiring structure, reducing the complexity and labor costs of system installation.
    • Labeled Leads Improve Wiring Efficiency: Each of the 50 leads at the end of the cable is marked with a corresponding pin number. This clear marking avoids wiring errors during the installation process, shortens the debugging time of the system, and also facilitates maintenance personnel to quickly locate problems when troubleshooting.
    • Long – Distance Transmission Ensures Installation Flexibility: With a 50 – foot length, it allows the signal marshaling enclosure to be installed at a long distance from the Tricon controller. This provides great flexibility for the layout of equipment in industrial plants where the control room and field equipment are far apart.
    • Stable Connection Guarantees Signal Integrity: The 56 – pin female connector matches the backplane of the Tricon chassis perfectly. The tight connection prevents signal loss or interruption caused by loose connections due to industrial vibration. Meanwhile, the PVC outer covering and reasonable conductor design reduce external interference on digital signals.
  • Application Scenarios
    • Oil and Gas Industry: It is used in oil extraction platforms, natural gas processing plants and pipeline control systems. It connects the Tricon chassis with digital I/O modules that monitor pipeline pressure, valve switch status and other digital signals. It ensures stable transmission of signals related to emergency shutdown systems and high – integrity pressure protection systems, avoiding accidents such as oil and gas leakage and explosions.
    • Petrochemical and Chemical Industry: It is applied to the Triconex control systems of chemical reactors, distillation towers and combustion systems. It is responsible for the signal connection between the chassis and digital modules that collect equipment start – stop status, temperature switch signals and other data. It ensures that the combustion management system and emergency cut – off system can receive accurate signals in a timely manner and prevents dangerous situations such as chemical reactions getting out of control.
    • Power Generation Industry: It is deployed in thermal power plants and nuclear power plants. It is used to wire the Tricon safety control chassis to digital I/O modules in boiler, turbine and reactor protection systems. It transmits digital signals such as equipment operation status and safety interlock signals, ensuring the continuous and safe operation of power generation units and meeting the strict safety requirements of the power industry.
    • Metallurgical and Manufacturing Industry: It is integrated into the Triconex control systems of metallurgical smelting furnaces, rolling mills and automated production lines. It connects the central chassis with digital modules that detect the position of conveying equipment and the on – off state of temperature sensors. It adapts to the complex and high – interference industrial environment of metallurgical sites and ensures the stability of the production process and the safety of equipment operation.
    • Pharmaceutical Industry: It is used in the automated production lines and quality control systems of pharmaceutical factories. It connects the Tricon chassis with digital I/O modules that monitor the operation status of mixing equipment and the switching signals of filling machines. It ensures the stable transmission of digital signals in the production process, helping pharmaceutical production meet relevant safety and quality standards.
