Product Short Description

Product Introduction

The GE D20 EME 10BASE-T is an Ethernet/Memory Expansion module developed by GE Grid Solutions for D20/D200 series remote terminal units (RTUs) and substation controllers. It integrates 10BASE-T Ethernet connectivity (10 Mbps over twisted – pair cable) and memory expansion, converting traditional serial – based RTUs into IP – enabled devices for seamless integration with modern SCADA and industrial networks. The module installs directly into the VME – bus communication slot of D20/D200 chassis, powered by the main CPU module without external power supplies. It comes with a built – in TCP/IP protocol stack, supporting static/DHCP IP addressing and multiple industrial protocols like Modbus TCP, IEC 60870-5-104, and DNP3 over TCP/IP. It also has an integrated web server for remote configuration and monitoring, and can be configured for dual – module redundancy to ensure uninterrupted communication in critical power applications. It meets IEEE 802.3, UL 508, and IEC 61850 standards, offering reliable data exchange for substation automation, distribution monitoring, and energy management systems.
