The ABB SA801F is a dedicated AC-input power supply module designed exclusively for the ABB Advant AC800F / Freelance distributed control system (DCS). It serves as the primary power source for the entire controller assembly, delivering stable, regulated DC voltages to the CPU motherboard, communication modules, and I/O modules in slots E1, E2, and F1–F4. Engineered for high reliability in industrial environments, this module integrates comprehensive protection features, diagnostic capabilities, and a hold-up function to ensure uninterrupted system operation during brief power interruptions. It is the standard power supply for AC800F controllers with PM802F CPU boards and is installed in the dedicated P-slot on the far left of the controller rack.
