Function Characteristics

• Protection Functions:
  • It has three – element over – current protection, two – element non – directional earth – fault protection, and thermal protection, providing comprehensive over – current and earth – fault protection.
  • Optional arc protection is available, with two lens sensors for arc detection. The reference level is automatically adjusted according to the backlight intensity.
  • It supports automatic re – closing 1 to 3 times, circuit breaker failure protection, trip counter for circuit breaker status monitoring, trip circuit monitoring, and trip locking function.
• Monitoring and Recording Functions:
  • It has an interference recorder that can record for up to 80 seconds, triggered by one or more internal or digital input signals, and can record four analog channels and up to eight user – selectable digital channels.
  • The non – volatile memory can store up to 100 event codes with timestamps, setting values, interference recorder data, and record data of the last five events with timestamps.
• Human – Machine Interface:
  • It has an alphanumeric LCD and operation buttons.
  • There are 8 programmable LEDs, and the user can select password protection for the human – machine interface.
  • The primary current value and demand value can be displayed, and all settings can be modified via a PC.

Application Scenarios

• It is primarily used for the protection of incoming and outgoing feeders in distribution substations of resistance – earthed and solidly – earthed power systems.
• It is also suitable for marine and offshore environments.
• In addition, it can be used as backup protection for motors, transformers, and generators in utility and industrial applications.
