Product Short Description
Product Introduction:
The IC200ERM002 is a non – isolated expansion receiver module of GE’s VersaMax series, mainly used to expand the functions of VersaMax PLC or I/O stations and increase the number of connectable I/O modules. It supports a maximum of 7 expansion racks, with up to 8 I/O modules per rack, which can significantly expand the I/O capacity of the system. It is equipped with two 26 – pin female D – shell expansion ports, one for connecting the incoming expansion cable and the other for daisy – chaining the next expansion rack or connecting a terminator plug. The module has 3 on – board LED indicators to display the power, communication and module status, facilitating quick troubleshooting. It adopts a non – isolated design, provides backplane current of 5 VDC and 3.3 VDC, and has two data transmission rates of 5 Mbps and 2.765 Mbps to meet different system performance requirements. It is suitable for both multi – rack and single – ended expansion systems, and can be installed on a standard DIN rail, which is convenient for integration into industrial automation control systems.

- Material Handling Systems: In logistics centers and warehouses, it supports the I/O expansion of the control system of conveyors, stackers, and automated storage and retrieval systems.
- Building Automation: Expands the I/O capacity of the control system for HVAC, lighting, and security systems in large commercial buildings.
- Power Distribution Systems: Connects the I/O modules of the monitoring system of transformers, switchgear, and distribution equipment to realize the centralized monitoring of the power grid.
- Multi – zone Control Systems: In pharmaceutical and food processing plants, it realizes the I/O expansion of multiple production zones and improves the flexibility of the control system.
- Installation & Maintenance:
- Mounting: Snap the module onto a 7.5 mm × 35 mm DIN rail, ensuring a firm installation and good contact with the backplane.
- Expansion Connection: Connect the top 26 – pin port to the main rack or previous expansion rack with a dedicated expansion cable; connect the bottom port to the next expansion rack or install a terminator plug (required for the last rack).
- Module Installation: Insert the I/O module into the expansion rack until it is latched, and check the module LED to confirm normal operation.
- Status Check: Use the 3 on – board LEDs to confirm power on (steady green), normal communication (flashing green), and no module faults (no red light).
- Cable Length Control: Strictly follow the cable length limit (15 meters for multi – rack, 1 meter for single – ended) to ensure data transmission stability.
- Terminator Installation: Install the terminator plug on the bottom port of the last expansion rack to prevent signal reflection.
- Routine Maintenance: Regularly check the connection of the expansion cable and the tightness of the module; clean the DIN rail and module surface to prevent dust accumulation affecting heat dissipation.
