Product Short Description
Product Name
Honeywell CC-TDOB11 32-Channel 24 VDC Redundant Digital Output IOTA
Product Introduction
Honeywell CC-TDOB11 is an Experion Series C redundant digital output termination assembly. It distributes 24 VDC discrete output power to solenoid valves, relays, contactors, annunciator lamps and other field actuators. The IOTA supports dual electronics modules for high-availability control.
Description

Off-state leakage: minimal microampere-level leakage per electronics-module specification
Redundancy switchover: redundant output transfer designed within milliseconds for maintained field state
Base size: 12-inch redundant IOTA base
Operating temperature: 0 to 60 °C
Terminals: detachable screw or spring terminals according to IOTA build
Functional Features
Dual-module redundant termination maintains output state during electronics-module maintenance. Bussed 24 VDC distribution reduces external power wiring. Integrated diagnostics show channel, module and fault status. Electronic protection reduces reliance on external fuses in configurations that use protected electronics modules.
Application Scenarios
Refinery and petrochemical solenoid valve actuation, chemical plant runner and isolator control, power plant breaker trip/close辅助 commands, offshore platform safety-device driving, large manufacturing lines requiring uninterrupted discrete output power.
Performance Parameters
Output performance depends on the paired digital output electronics module, fuse/buss configuration and load type. Maintain per-channel current within 0.5 A unless the electronics module specifies a higher rating. Maintain group current within the IOTA/electronics-module group limit. Use fast scanning for high-speed sequencing and standard scanning for general On/Off control.
Material Composition
Multilayer printed circuit IOTA with bussed power planes, optical/galvanic isolation components and diagnostic circuitry. Terminal blocks use plated copper alloy conductors. Baseplate uses industrial insulating material with metal mounting hardware.
Structural Characteristics
The redundant IOTA accepts two digital output electronics modules on one 12-inch base. Field load wiring terminates on the IOTA terminal block. Internal bussing distributes 24 VDC to all output channels. Detachable terminals allow pre-wired replacement with minimal disturbance.
Working Principle
The controller sends an On/Off command to the active output electronics module. The electronics module drives the IOTA buss and channel terminal to 24 VDC for the ON state or removes drive for the OFF state. In redundant mode, the backup module monitors state and assumes control if the active module fails, preserving the commanded field state.
Installation Requirements
Mount the 12-inch IOTA vertically or as specified in the Series C layout. Install primary and backup output electronics modules with correct keying. Connect 24 VDC field power to the bussed input terminals. Separate signal cables from high-power AC runs. Use defined wire sizes and torque values for detachable terminals. Verify redundancy synchronization before placing loads in automatic mode.
Usage Precautions
Never energize terminals during module insertion unless the system explicitly supports hot maintenance. Confirm total buss and per-group current against the electronics-module rating. Check short-circuit protection settings before driving inductive loads. Replace a failed module only after confirming active-module LED status. Keep cabinet temperature, ventilation and dust conditions within Honeywell Series C limits.
