Working Principle: The carrier receives 24 VDC power from two independent feeds and distributes it to each of the 8 slots via an internal

power bus. The DeltaV redundant I/O bus connects all installed modules to the controller. Each slot’s electrical and communication

interface is standardized, allowing any compatible I/O module to be inserted, automatically recognized, and brought online by the DCS.

Installation & Usage Notes:

Mount horizontally in a 19-inch rack or on DIN rail with adequate clearance for ventilation

Insert I/O modules only into powered-off carriers in hazardous areas; hot-swap permitted only in safe areas
Ensure earth grounding of the carrier chassis and shielding bar to maximize EMI immunity
