Product Short Description
Product Name: SPM‑D2‑11 Microprocessor‑based Synchronizer & Load‑Share Controller
Product Overview:
A dedicated digital signal processor that automatically matches a generator’s voltage, frequency, and phase angle to a live bus or another running genset, then closes the breaker with zero phase‑difference. It additionally performs kW and kVAr load sharing and generator protection.

Functional Features:
-
True RMS Microprocessor Core – Resists harmonic distortion from modern VFDs.
-
Dual Analog Load‑Share Lines – Simultaneous kW (real power) and kVAr (reactive power) sharing.
-
Breaker Time Compensation – Adjusts the close command for breaker mechanical delay.
-
Configurable Control Outputs – Discrete raise/lower for speed & voltage, or analog (voltage, current, PWM) bias.
-
Generator Protection – One‑phase CT sensing for power, overload, voltage, frequency.
-
Password‑Protected Parameter Set – Multi‑level security, USB configuration via Woodward ToolKit™.
-
Built‑in Synchronoscope – Front‑face indicator for commissioning.
Application Scenarios: Island‑mode paralleling of diesel/gas gensets, data‑center backup power, mining camp microgrids, retrofit of obsolete mechanical synchronoscopes, utility‑paralleled generation.
Working Principle: Continuously computes True RMS voltage and frequency of both generator and bus, calculates phase angle error, and sends precise raise/lower bias to the engine governor and AVR until phase, frequency, and voltage match within tolerance; then issues a bumpless breaker‑close command.
Installation Requirements: Panel‑cutout 138 × 68 mm; proper sealing gasket (P/N 8923‑1037) for IP54 front; separate grounding of CT secondary; keep voltage sense wiring away from noisy loads.
Usage Notes: Always verify sync‑check timer before auto‑close; do not operate without correctly rated CT; USB configuration must be performed with the unit de‑energized from the bus side.
