Product Short Description
Product Name: Fisher FIELDVUE DVC6200/DVC6000 Single-Acting Reverse Pneumatic Relay Assembly (Relay B)
Product Introduction: An OEM pneumatic relay assembly (Relay B, single-acting reverse acting) for Fisher FIELDVUE DVC6200 and DVC6000 series digital valve controllers. It is housed in a Low Bleed Housing A, designed for use with GX actuators.
Description
Technical Specifications:
-
Product type: Single-acting reverse pneumatic relay (Relay B)
-
Housing: Low Bleed Housing A (for GX actuator)
-
Output signal: 3–15 psi (0.2–1.0 bar) standard, scalable via DVC calibration
-
Supply pressure: Typical 20–30 psig (1.4–2.1 bar)
-
Acting mode: Reverse acting — increasing input signal decreases output pressure
-
Included components: Relay body, shroud, relay seal, mounting screws
-
Materials: Industrial-grade metals, corrosion-resistant coatings, elastomeric seals
-
Compliance: SIL 2/3 capable (when installed in certified DVC6200 SIS); CE, RoHS
Functional Features:
-
Receives a low-flow pilot signal from the I/P converter and proportionally amplifies it to drive a spring-return diaphragm or cylinder actuator.
-
Reverse-acting characteristic: as the I/P signal increases, the output pressure to the actuator decreases.
-
Low-bleed design optimizes air consumption.
-
Factory-specified internal component that threads directly into the DVC6200 relay manifold.
Application Scenarios: Installed inside Fisher FIELDVUE DVC6200 and DVC6000 digital valve controllers for throttling control of valves in critical, high-cycle applications within the oil & gas, chemical, power and process industries.
Working Principle: The relay acts as a pneumatic amplifier. A small pilot air flow from the I/P converter modulates the relay’s internal spool or diaphragm assembly, which in turn controls a much larger volume of supply air to the actuator. In the reverse-acting configuration, an increase in the pilot signal causes the relay to vent actuator air, reducing actuator pressure.
Installation Requirements:
-
Must be installed inside a Fisher FIELDVUE DVC6200 or DVC6000 positioner housing.
-
Thread directly into the positioner’s relay manifold.
-
Ensure the correct housing (Housing A for GX actuator) is matched.
-
Use the supplied shroud, seal and mounting screws for proper sealing.
Usage Precautions:
-
This is a precision pneumatic component; handle with care to avoid contamination of internal orifices.
-
Only trained personnel should disassemble/replace the relay.
-
Verify the relay type (single-acting reverse, Relay B) matches the positioner configuration and actuator type.
-
Keep spare seals and shrouds available to maintain intrinsic safety and proper bleed characteristics.
