9.4 Function Features
- Multi-channel isolated regulated DC output, independently supply PLC core CPU logic circuit, communication chips and field I/O sensor power supply, mutual isolation between each output channel to avoid cross-channel electrical interference
- Complete multi-layer electronic protection circuit integrated inside the module: overvoltage protection, overcurrent protection, short-circuit automatic shutdown protection, overheating thermal cut-off protection; automatically cut off output power immediately once abnormal electrical fault occurs to protect expensive PLC CPU and I/O modules from burnout damage
- Front panel integrated power-good status LED indicator light; LED constant bright indicates normal stable DC output power supply, LED extinguished or flashing indicates input power failure, output overload or internal module fault for rapid on-site troubleshooting
- Compact plug-in modular design, directly inserted into dedicated power supply slot of Toshiba V Series PLC rack backplane, no additional external wiring required for backplane power transmission, greatly simplifying PLC cabinet internal wiring layout
- Wide universal AC input voltage design, compatible with global industrial factory mains power supply standards, no need to replace power supply modules for different regional factory voltage environments
9.5 Working Principle
Adopts high-frequency isolated switching power supply topology: Single-phase AC mains input first passes through built-in EMI electromagnetic interference filter circuit to filter out industrial grid high-frequency harmonic noise interference, then enters high-frequency rectifier and switching transformer isolation circuit, converting alternating current into multiple groups of isolated low-voltage direct current. Each DC output channel is equipped with independent voltage feedback closed-loop regulation circuit to maintain constant stable DC output voltage under varying load current conditions. Built-in real-time voltage, current and temperature monitoring logic chips continuously detect output operating status; when overvoltage, overcurrent, short-circuit or overheating abnormal signals are detected, the control chip immediately cuts off switching transformer drive signal to stop all DC output power supply and trigger front panel fault status indication.

9.7 Application Scenarios
- Toshiba V Series 2000 PLC automation control rack dedicated power supply for factory assembly line control cabinets
- Petrochemical plant, thermal power plant, metallurgical mine industrial process control PLC cabinet internal rack power supply
- Building intelligent automation HVAC air conditioning control system Toshiba PLC rack power supply
- Water treatment plant sewage automatic dosing, flow monitoring PLC control cabinet power supply module
9.8 Installation Requirements
- Power off the entire PLC rack control cabinet AC mains power supply before installing or replacing the PS693 module to avoid electric shock hazard and accidental short-circuit damage to PLC modules
- Align the gold-plated multi-pin rear connector of the PS693 module with the dedicated power supply slot of the Toshiba V Series PLC backplane, push the module fully inward until the front panel is closely attached to the rack frame to ensure complete contact of the backplane connector
- Connect single-phase AC input power cable to the AC wiring terminal on the module front panel; strictly follow wiring marking for live wire, neutral wire and protective ground wire connection, reliable chassis protective grounding is mandatory
- Maintain unobstructed ventilation space around the PLC rack where the PS693 module is installed; do not stack other wiring harnesses or metal parts to block the module shell heat dissipation gaps
9.9 Usage Precautions
- Strictly prohibit installing and operating the PS693 module in environments with condensed water immersion, flammable dust and corrosive acid/alkali chemical gas; long-term corrosive environments will damage internal circuit components and gold-plated backplane connectors
- Do not overload the 24VDC I/O output channel; the total field sensor load current cannot exceed the rated 0.8A maximum output current, long-term overload will trigger overcurrent protection shutdown and accelerate internal power component aging
- Regularly inspect the front panel power-good LED indicator during daily equipment maintenance; timely replace faulty PS693 modules once abnormal LED status is found to prevent PLC control system sudden power failure leading to production equipment emergency shutdown
- Only use original Toshiba PS693 dedicated power supply modules matched with V Series 2000 PLC racks; non-original third-party power supply modules have mismatched backplane output voltage and pin definitions, which will cause permanent burnout of PLC CPU and I/O modules immediately after power on
- Do not disassemble the sealed plastic housing of the PS693 module arbitrarily; internal high-voltage switching power supply circuits carry dangerous high voltage even after AC input power is disconnected, disassembly will lead to electric shock safety hazards and void product warranty service
