MVI56E-SIE implements bidirectional S7 protocol communication between ControlLogix controllers and Siemens S7‑200, S7‑300, S7‑400, S7‑1200, S7‑1500 PLCs over Industrial Ethernet. It acts as protocol gateway to exchange DB block data, marker bits, input/output data across Rockwell and Siemens control platforms.

Working Principle
The module establishes ISO-on-TCP connections with target Siemens PLCs, encapsulates user read/write requests into S7 protocol frames, converts data into ControlLogix recognized tag format and transmits data via ControlLogix backplane.
