MVI56E-PDPMV1 enables ControlLogix PAC to operate as PROFIBUS DP Class 1 Master. It connects ControlLogix systems to PROFIBUS DP slave devices including drives, remote I/O modules, valve terminals and field instruments. It is upgraded enhanced version of MVI56-PDPMV1.

Working Principle
The module handles all PROFIBUS bus scheduling, cyclic data polling and token rotation management independently. It transfers process data between PROFIBUS slave equipment and ControlLogix controller through ControlLogix backplane I/O mapping.
