Structural Characteristics
Cylindrical compact integrated structure, front optical detection window, rear wiring terminal cavity separated by isolation baffle to avoid high temperature heat transfer to circuit board. Built-in axial air cooling channel for high-temperature furnace wall installation. Rotatable mounting flange with 360° angle adjustment for aligning flame viewing angle. Independent terminal wiring compartment with waterproof compression cable gland.
Working Principle
Combustion flame releases characteristic ultraviolet radiation within 180–260 nm wavelength; UV light penetrates quartz window and irradiates vacuum UV photoelectric tube inside the module, triggering photoelectric emission effect to generate micro current signal. Internal signal amplifier amplifies weak current, comparator circuit judges whether flame intensity exceeds preset threshold. If flame exists, relay keeps closed; once flame disappears, signal current drops below threshold within 200 ms, relay cuts off contact and outputs flame failure alarm signal to trigger burner fuel valve interlock cut-off.
Installation Requirements
- Install at 15°–75° inclination angle aiming at stable flame core area, avoid direct alignment with furnace wall high-temperature reflection surface
- Reserve compressed air purge pipeline interface to blow soot and dust on quartz window regularly
- Wiring cable uses shielded wire, shield layer single-point grounding at control cabinet end
- Mount cooling air pipe if installation surface temperature exceeds 70°C; cooling air pressure 0.2–0.4 MPa dry clean compressed air
- Fix mounting flange with stainless steel bolts, add high-temperature resistant graphite gasket between flange and furnace wall
- Keep minimum 200 mm distance from ignition transformer to avoid electromagnetic interference
Use & Maintenance Precautions
- Clean quartz optical window every 3 working days to remove soot accumulation which will reduce detection sensitivity
- Do not use corrosive solvent to wipe quartz glass; only soft microfiber cloth with anhydrous ethanol
- Avoid mechanical impact on front optical window, quartz glass crack will completely lose detection function
- Check air purge pipeline unobstructed daily; blocked air pipe leads to window fouling and false flame loss alarm
- Replace UV photoelectric tube every 50,000 working hours to guarantee detection accuracy
- Disconnect 24V DC power before disassembling module; do not touch internal circuit components with bare hands
- Regular test flame loss interlock function by cutting off fuel supply manually to verify alarm output validity
