Material & Structural Characteristics
- Main Circuit Board: Military-grade multi-layer PCB with tin-lead free plating, anti-electromagnetic interference copper shielding layer
- Front Panel: Hardened black aluminum alloy, with port status LED indicators, MDA slot lock levers, ESD discharge contact strips
- Chassis Form Factor: Standard router chassis full-height line card, fixed by front panel quick-lock screws
- Surface Treatment: Anti-corrosion anodizing aluminum panel, dust-proof ventilation grille
Working Principle
- Inbound optical/electrical service traffic enters MDA adapter for photoelectric conversion and physical layer signal processing
- Traffic data transfers to IOM2-20G dedicated forwarding chip for layer 2/layer 3 route lookup, QoS queue scheduling and MPLS label encapsulation
- Forwarded data packets output through designated MDA port to peer network equipment
- On-board monitoring circuit collects port optical power, traffic volume and hardware state data, uploads to router main control card via internal backplane bus
- When hardware fault occurs, automatic traffic switchover to redundant backup line card to realize service non-interruption
Installation Requirements
- Install inside Alcatel-Lucent 7750 SR series dedicated router chassis, use factory-matched MDA adapters only
- Connect chassis to dedicated telecom room -48VDC regulated power supply with dual power input redundancy
- Deploy chassis in air-conditioned telecom cabinet with ambient temperature maintained at 18–25°C
- Optical fiber cables must adopt bend-resistant single-mode fiber, minimum bending radius ≥30mm
- Ground chassis frame to dedicated telecom protective earth busbar with 6mm² copper cable
Application Scenarios
- Operator metropolitan area core router service expansion
- Interconnection between multi-region data centers and cloud service platforms
- Enterprise large-scale MPLS VPN backbone access aggregation
- Telecom carrier 5G core network edge traffic forwarding
- Financial industry private network high-speed inter-site transmission
Operation & Maintenance Notes
- Complete configuration backup before hot-swapping line cards to avoid service configuration loss
- Wear anti-static wristband during disassembly and assembly to prevent ESD damage to PCB chips
- Regularly clean optical port dust with professional fiber cleaning sticks to avoid signal attenuation
- Do not plug/unplug MDA adapters frequently; each plug-unplug operation has limited service life
- Monitor optical transceiver temperature and optical power value weekly to predict fiber aging failure
