Material & Structural Composition
- Outer Housing: Extruded aluminum alloy with matte silver anodic oxidation anti-oxidation treatment
- Stator Core: Thin silicon steel laminated stack, class F high-temperature resistant copper magnet wire
- Rotor: Rare earth permanent magnet embedded rotor, balanced dynamically at factory
- Output Shaft: Alloy structural steel with precision grinding, integrated standard keyway
- Cable Junction Section: Reinforced flame-retardant ABS plastic strain relief shell
- Mounting Base: Machined aluminum flange with four symmetric mounting holes
Working Principle
The servo drive outputs modulated three-phase sinusoidal current to generate a rotating magnetic field inside the stator. The embedded permanent magnet rotor rotates synchronously with the field to produce precise rotary motion. The absolute encoder captures high-resolution angular position data and transmits digital feedback to the drive to form full closed-loop position, speed and current triple control system. Internal thermal resistance sensors monitor winding temperature to trigger automatic current limitation under overheating conditions.
Installation Requirements
- Horizontal mounting is preferred; vertical mounting requires additional mechanical support for shaft load reduction
- Reserve minimum 30mm ventilation gap around motor housing for heat dissipation
- Shaft coupling concentricity error limited to ≤0.015 mm radial runout
- All power and feedback wiring must use Panasonic designated shielded twisted servo cables
- Secure wire lead strain relief to prevent cable pulling damage during machine reciprocating motion
- Mounting bolt tightening torque fixed at 6 Nm; avoid thread slippage on aluminum flange
Application Scenarios
Small automated dispensing equipment, PCB drilling machinery, labeling automation, conveyor speed regulation, desktop CNC engravers, packaging bag cutting equipment, laboratory precision positioning stages, light-load robotic manipulators
Operation & Maintenance Notes
- Model has been officially discontinued since September 2022; replacement spare parts rely on stock inventory
- Do not expose motor wire leads to oil mist, cutting fluid or metal debris without protective cable conduits
- Avoid frequent cyclic overload above peak torque rating, causing permanent magnet demagnetization
- Prevent sharp bending of wire leads; minimum bend radius ≥8 times cable outer diameter
- Do not disassemble encoder rear cover without professional calibration tools; encoder damage invalidates positioning accuracy
- For long-term idle storage, seal motor shaft and cable outlets with waterproof anti-dust plastic caps
