This is a high-precision seismic vibration sensor manufactured by EPRO (Emerson Process Management), compliant with API 670 machinery protection standards. It captures absolute casing vibration velocity signals for rotating equipment health monitoring, no external DC power supply required, self-generates proportional voltage output via electromagnetic induction. Designed for continuous heavy-duty industrial rotating machinery condition monitoring in power, petrochemical and metallurgy industries.

Working Principle
Adopts inertial seismic mass-spring-coil electromagnetic structure:
- External vibration drives sensor outer housing to oscillate synchronously with equipment casing
- Internal permanent magnet fixed to seismic mass block remains static due to inertial damping
- Movable coil connected to shell cuts magnetic field lines, generates induced electromotive force directly proportional to vibration velocity
- Raw analog voltage signal transmitted via shielded armored cable to Emerson monitoring preamplifier for signal conditioning, amplification and fault diagnosis calculation

Installation Requirements
- Mount sensor flange flat against rigid equipment casing; mounting surface flatness tolerance ≤0.05mm
- Use grade 8.8 M8 bolts with spring lock washers, tightening torque 8–10 N·m
- Install sensor vertically for standard omnidirectional PR9268/203 model; avoid horizontal installation for long-term high-temperature operation
- Cable bending radius minimum 12×armor outer diameter, no sharp bends or mechanical extrusion
- Cable routing separated from high-voltage power cables by ≥30cm to avoid EMI crosstalk
- Ground sensor cable shield single-ended at monitoring cabinet preamplifier terminal only
Operation & Maintenance Precautions
- Do not strike or drop sensor housing; internal spring-mass structure is fragile to heavy impact
- Strictly prohibit cutting armored cable midway; use full-length factory cable assembly
- Avoid long-term exposure to oil immersion, corrosive acid/alkaline liquid splashing
- Calibrate sensor every 24 months with standard vibration shaker bench
- Prevent over-temperature operation above 90°C; install heat insulation gaskets for hot turbine casings
- Disconnect signal cable before welding or grinding nearby equipment to avoid coil burnout
