Key Functional Features

  1. Universal wide-range AC input compatible with global industrial single-phase mains power supplies
  2. N+1 redundant parallel design with automatic load sharing; single module failure does not interrupt rack DC power supply
  3. Passive fanless cooling structure eliminates fan failure risk and reduces routine maintenance workload
  4. Multi-level EMC protection circuits including input surge suppressors, common-mode chokes and differential-mode filter capacitors
  5. Comprehensive built-in diagnostic monitoring: input AC loss, output overvoltage, overcurrent, internal overheating, redundant module mismatch alarm
  6. Hot-swappable rack mount design; replacement can be executed without powering down the entire control rack
  7. Low ripple DC output with multi-stage LC filtering to eliminate power noise interference on DCS analog measurement modules
  8. Non-volatile fault log storage recording overheating, overload and power loss timestamps for system troubleshooting audit

Working Principle

Single-phase AC mains power enters the module’s front-end EMC filter circuit to suppress surge and high-frequency electromagnetic interference. The filtered AC voltage is transmitted to a high-frequency isolated switching power conversion stage, which steps down and rectifies the voltage into stable 24VDC direct current. Internal load balancing circuits synchronize output voltage and current with other parallel TP-2373-6 redundant modules to evenly distribute rack power consumption across all active power supplies. Real-time temperature sensors, current sampling resistors and voltage monitoring chips continuously track operating status. If any abnormal parameter exceeds preset thresholds, the module triggers visible front panel fault indicators and transmits fault diagnostic signals to the C300 rack backplane for HMI alarm notification. When a single redundant power module fails, the remaining healthy units automatically absorb the full rack load without voltage drop or process control interruption.

Material Composition & Structural Characteristics

  • Outer Housing: Thickened cold-rolled steel sheet with matte black anti-corrosion epoxy powder coating, mechanical impact resistance for cabinet installation
  • Internal Heat Dissipation Structure: Integrated aluminum alloy extruded heat sink bonded to power switching MOSFET components for passive heat conduction
  • Main Power PCB: Multi-layer high-current FR-4 fiberglass substrate with thick copper power traces to reduce thermal resistance and voltage drop
  • Isolation Components: 3kV high-frequency isolation transformers separating AC input and DC output circuits
  • Input/Output Terminals: Heavy-duty tin-plated copper screw-clamp terminals supporting up to 4mm² wire cross-section
  • Indicator Panel: Three bi-color LED status lights (AC power present, normal output, module fault) covered by scratch-resistant transparent plastic cover
  • Internal Auxiliary Components: High-temperature long-life electrolytic capacitors, surge absorption varistors, common-mode inductance filters

Installation Requirements

  1. Install on dedicated power supply slots of Honeywell C300 standard control rack, support side-by-side parallel redundant installation
  2. Maintain minimum 25mm vertical and horizontal ventilation clearance around each power module for natural convection heat dissipation
  3. AC input wiring must use shielded power cables; cable shield grounded at cabinet main earth bar only
  4. Rack protective grounding wire cross-section not less than 4mm² copper conductor, grounding resistance ≤4Ω
  5. Avoid installing power modules adjacent to high heat generating equipment such as inverter heat sinks and high-power transformers
  6. For critical SIL-rated DCS racks, deploy minimum two TP-2373-6 modules in 1+1 redundant configuration
  7. Front panel LED indicators must remain unobstructed for daily power system health visual inspection

Typical Application Scenarios

  • Petrochemical plant C300 DCS main control rack redundant power supply
  • Natural gas processing station distributed control cabinet DC power source
  • Thermal power plant boiler and turbine control rack power backup
  • Chemical batch manufacturing high-reliability process control power system
  • Offshore platform Explosion-proof Class I Div 2 control cabinet power supply
  • Pulp and paper mill continuous production DCS rack power modules

Operation & Maintenance Precautions

  1. Cut off the AC input power circuit of the target module before hot swapping to prevent electric shock and backplane voltage surge damage
  2. Check AC input terminal screw tightness every 6 months to avoid loose wiring causing heat accumulation and terminal burnout
  3. Clean aluminum heat sink surface dust and fiber debris every 3 months to guarantee passive cooling efficiency
  4. Store spare TP-2373-6 modules in dry constant temperature warehouse; avoid long-term high-temperature storage accelerating capacitor aging
  5. Do not disassemble internal power conversion circuits without Honeywell professional maintenance authorization; disassembly will invalidate safety isolation certification
  6. After replacing power supply modules, perform full load redundancy switchover test to verify load balancing and fault backup performance
  7. Do not connect rack load exceeding the combined maximum output current of all parallel TP-2373-6 modules to avoid continuous overload power degradation
