XAL-TERM is a matching certified wiring terminal accessory exclusively designed for HIMA X-series SIL3 safety instrument modules, specially customized for high-density multi-channel safety signal wiring such as X-AI3201 32-channel analog input module. It adopts split spring quick-plug structure, integrated wire strain relief, dedicated safety shielding grounding bar, fully complies with IEC 61508 functional safety wiring standards, eliminates messy scattered terminal layout inside safety cabinet, supports fast on-site wiring, replacement and maintenance without screwdrivers. All structural components pass TÜV safety certification, and the whole set must be used together with HIMA X-series safety modules to retain SIL safety rating.

Working Principle
- Field 4–20mA HART transmitter signal shielded cables pass through strain relief buckle of XAL-TERM terminal unit, stripped conductors inserted into spring clamp pins to realize electrical connection between field equipment and X-AI3201 module internal sampling circuit.
- All cable shielding layers are uniformly clamped to the built-in grounding bus bar of XAL-TERM, connected to cabinet safety ground through dedicated ground wire, forming closed shielding loop to block external electromagnetic interference entering safety signal lines.
- Independent isolation partitions separate each signal channel terminal pin, avoid leakage current between adjacent channels leading to signal drift or false safety fault diagnosis.
- Built-in elastic spring clamp maintains constant contact pressure on copper conductors under wide temperature fluctuation and mechanical vibration, stable signal transmission without contact resistance increase.

Installation Requirements

Operation & Maintenance Precautions
- All wiring modification, terminal disassembly work must be carried out after cutting off module X-BUS backplane power and field transmitter 24V loop power supply
- Do not use non-matching third-party terminal blocks to replace XAL-TERM; uncertified terminals will cause loss of SIL3 functional safety certification of the whole safety loop
- Inspect spring clamp tightness and cable strain relief buckle every 6 months for vibration-intensive workshop environments; replace aged TPU buckles if cracking appears
- Do not expose XAL-TERM terminal assembly to direct splashing of process chemical liquid; liquid infiltration will cause inter-channel leakage and safety signal deviation
- Clean terminal surface accumulated dust only with dry oil-free compressed air; liquid cleaning agents are forbidden to avoid damaging plastic insulation housing
