Core Functional Features
- Wide voltage input adaptability, compatible with all standard 24 V DC field safety switch equipment
- Independent isolation circuit for each channel to resist surge and electromagnetic interference
- Ultra-fast signal response, capturing short pulse switch signals for safety interlock logic
- Hot-swappable module design for online maintenance
- Grouped LED fault indicators on front panel for rapid positioning of abnormal channels
- Filter circuit suppresses contact bounce interference of mechanical switches
Working Principle
Field safety switch contacts control the on/off state of each digital input channel’s 24 V DC loop. When the switch closes, current flows through the channel isolation optocoupler, converting the on-off electrical signal into a digital logic signal recognized by the module’s control chip. The module continuously detects loop impedance; abnormally high impedance represents wire breakage, while abnormally low impedance indicates channel short circuit. All digital state data and fault codes are transmitted to X-CPU 01 through redundant backplane bus for safety interlock judgment.
Structural & Material Characteristics
- Shell: Black aluminum alloy anti-EMI casing
- Isolation components: High-speed optocoupler per input channel
- Terminals: Spring push-in quick wiring terminals for fast cable installation
Installation Requirements
- Mount on HIMax baseplate I/O slots, compatible with all standard HIMax baseplate specifications
- Separate digital signal cables from AC power cables, maintain minimum 30 mm wiring distance
- Cabinet grounding resistance ≤ 4 Ω to eliminate common-mode interference
Application Scenarios
Emergency stop circuit signal collection, furnace flame detection feedback, safety valve position limit signal monitoring, conveyor belt safety pull switch acquisition, fire smoke detector digital signal input, pressure vessel over-limit switch monitoring.
Operation & Maintenance Precautions
- Mechanical safety switches must use gold contact type to avoid poor contact oxidation under long-term static state
- Do not connect inductive loads directly to input channels, which generates reverse voltage surge and damages optocouplers
- Check terminal spring tightness every 6 months to prevent contact resistance increase
