Working Principle
Universal AC mains input converted via isolated switching power converter topology to two independent stabilized DC output rails. First regulated 12 V DC rail supplies low-voltage power to DeltaV rack backplane local bus for all I/O and controller modules. Second galvanically isolated 24 V DC SELV rail provides power for field 2-wire transmitters connected to analog input I/O modules. Parallel redundant modules share load current evenly via internal communication handshake circuit; faulty unit automatically isolates without disrupting rack power delivery.

- Maintain minimum 20 mm vertical airflow clearance above power supply modules for heat dissipation
Usage Precautions
- Do not exceed combined total 650 mA maximum 24 V DC field bus output load per power supply unit
- Disconnect AC mains input power before removing module during non-redundant single-unit rack operation
- Avoid mounting adjacent to high heat-generating controller core modules without airflow separation
- Replace only with factory-original KL2101X1-BA1 redundant power supply modules
