Working Principle
CO₂ laser beam transmitted from laser controller enters scan head optical cavity; dual galvanometer X/Y mirrors deflect laser beam according to digital positioning signals from controller to draw pre-programmed text, barcode or graphic patterns on target product surface. Built-in temperature sensor monitors internal heat accumulation and sends overheat alarm signal to controller to pause marking process and prevent galvanometer damage.
Advantage Highlights
- IP55 washdown-rated housing compatible with food, beverage and pharmaceutical production line cleaning cycles
- Fast galvanometer response enables high-speed packaging conveyor line integration
- Anti-reflection coated ZnSe lens reduces laser power loss and improves marking contrast
- Integrated temperature monitoring eliminates thermal drift marking distortion
- Full software integration with Domino industrial coding systems for traceability compliance
Applicable Industries
Food & beverage packaging, pharmaceutical blister and carton coding, tobacco packaging, cosmetic container marking, building materials traceability coding
Installation Requirements
- Mount scan head bracket to rigid production line frame with M6 stainless steel bolts torqued to 1.2 N·m
- Maintain minimum 150mm unobstructed vertical distance between scan head window and product marking surface
- Route signal/power cable with minimum 50mm bend radius to avoid internal wire breakage
- Install forced ambient air cooling fan if production line ambient temperature exceeds 35°C
- Align optical marking field via calibration port after mechanical mounting adjustment
Usage Precautions
- Never clean optical window with dry cloth; use dedicated Domino lens cleaning fluid and lint-free tissue only
- Avoid direct mechanical impact to front optical window to prevent coating scratch damage
- Do not operate scan head above 40°C ambient temperature; permanent galvanometer drift will occur
- Schedule monthly optical window inspection to remove packaging dust and liquid residue
- Disconnect 24V DC power supply before removing mounting bracket for maintenance
